Results Day 2009 January 12, 2009

I really should not be blogging now but I want to post about today while its still fresh in my mind.

 

In some ways I’m quite proud of my results and in others I’m a bit pissed, but mostly, I’m relieved.

 

By all means, go ahead and think that I’m boasting, maybe I am, but I’m just proud of this one particular achievement. That is, I got C6 for Chemistry for my prelims and told everyone that I wouldn’t care about it anymore since I stink at it so bad. But then for some reason I started stressing over it and studied for it harder than any other subject and I was shocked, not even surprised, SHOCKED when I got an A1 for it in the O Levels. That is truly amazing. And I have Hansel to thank for teaching me the Mole concept.

 

Also, we beat the previous L1R5 record of 9.9 with a huge improvement of 9.0 whcih was unbelieveable, because its no secret that while the teachers and principals encourage our batch , they’re silently thinking that we’re all hopeless and will never do as well as previous students.

 

Maybe it was that that gave us the motivation to do better. Either way, I’m really happy that we proved them wrong, and also that the top scorer for my school was from the Literature class, the class that SUPPOSEDLY doesn’t usually do well. Yeah,  it’s Theresa. No surprise.

Oh, and I’m also psyched that I qualify for H2 German! I was quite worried over my German grades because you need B3 and above to do H2.

 

And now I don’t know which school to apply to. For once I’m truly stuck. I hate making decisions. I want the school to be good in Arts but I also want the most liberal school I can get. I don’t want to make the wrong decision. I don’t know what to do.

English – A2 (Damn, must’ve been my oral. My orals have always sucked)

Chinese – A1 (Last year)

Higher Chinese – B3 (And I whooped in joy already!)

A Math – A1

E Math – A1

German – A2 (Thank goodness! I qualify for H2 German!)

Geography – A1

SS/History - A1 (Yes! Thank you for giving me a WWI essay to write!)

Pure Biology – A2

Pure Chemistry – A1 (Unbelieveable. I was reeling in shock)
